Armin Sešek studied violin at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. After twelve years of work in the orchestra of the Belgrade Philharmonic, he decided to move on and commit to music pedagogy. He taught violin at the Stanković School in Belgrade and at the School for Musical Talents in Ćuprija. 1992 He moved to Slovenia, where he started teaching violin at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana where he teaches today as well. He regularly teaches violin at summer schools in Grožnjan (Croatia) and Trieste (Italy). He had summer schools in Koper, Postojna, Ljubljana, Domžale, Sorica, Bled and Škofja Loka. He held violin seminars in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Osijek, Dubrovnik, Novo Mesto, Trbovlje, Grosuplje, Krško, Koper, Postojna, Maribor, Freising (D), Carlow (Ir), Mittenwald (D), Split, Makarska. His students have won 283 awards at national and international competitions, of which 114 were first and 25 absolutes. Eight times his students were laureates. String orchestra composed exclusively of students prof. Sesek won the summa cum laude at the 55th European Competition in Neerpelt (B). Former students of prof. Sesek is studying in Belgrade, Zagreb, Moscow, Novi Sad, Ljubljana, Klagenfurt, Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Cologne, London, Zurich, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Today, some of them are members of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Ljubljana Opera, Maribor Opera, Tonhalle Orchester Zurich, HRT Symphony Orchestra, HNK Zagreb Orchestra, Munich Rundfunkorchester, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien Symphony Philharmonic Orchestra, Augsburger Philharmonic, Kärntner Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Zürcher Kammerorchester. Others successfully teach violin in Slovenian, Austrian, Croatian and Serbian music schools. He was awarded the Škerjanc Award for his achievements in pedagogical work.
