Vanda Novoselec, prof. excellent counselor (1974, Croatia, Split) completed her elementary and secondary musical education at the Josip Hatze School of Music in Split, in the class of professor Aristid Martinis. In 1992, she enrolled in the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of professor Josip Klima, and concludes her studies in the class of professors Tonko Ninić and Anđelko Krpan where she earned the title of violin professor. Since 1997, she has been employed at Music school Vatroslav Lisinski in Bjelovar where she teaches violin and chamber music and is the head of the string department. She participated in the work of expert commissions of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports for the evaluation of textbooks and in the selection of default compositions for competitions (Croatian Society of Music Educators). She is a member of judging panels at competitions (Croatian County Competition, Sonus International Competition of Young Musicians, International competition Mladi Padovec, String fest in Sremska Mitrovica). She is a mentor to students and interns until they pass the professional exam. Holds workshops and seminars in music schools, Summer Music Camp Maruševec, Grožnjan (2023) and lectures at professional councils. She actively plays and performs with chamber ensembles and orchestras (Bjelovar Trio, Bjelovar Quartet, Big Band Bjelovar, HGM Orchestra). She cooperates with kindergartens and primary schools at the local level and introduces children into the world of music through interactive workshops. With her students, she won numerous national and international awards and prizes in the disciplines of violin, viola and chamber music. Her students successfully enroll in academic levels of music education. Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and Agency for Education and education award her four times the Oscar of knowledge for excellent results in work with to students. In 2016, the Croatian Society of Music Educators awarded her with the Year Award. On May 15, 2023, she was promoted to the title of excellent advisor.
