
Franjo Pećarić (1995) was born in Vinkovci, where he completed his primary education. He graduated from the Alberto Štriga Music School in Križevci in 2014, majoring in tambura and music theory. In the same year, he enrolled at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, majoring in Music Pedagogy. He graduated in Music Pedagogy in 2019 under the mentorship of senior lecturer Veljko Valentin Škorvaga, and in the same year, he also enrolled in the newly established integrated instrumental study program, majoring in tambura, from which he graduated in 2021.
During his musical education, as a soloist and member of various chamber ensembles, he won numerous first and second prizes at regional, national, and international competitions.
Since September 2018, he has been employed as a tambura teacher at the Fran Lhotka Music School in Sisak. He is a regular participant and lecturer at professional meetings for tambura teachers organized by the Agency for Education and Training and the Croatian Society of Tambura Pedagogues.
His students achieve remarkable results at national and international competitions. In 2023, he was promoted to the title of mentor professor.
In 2020, he founded the Ivan Goran Kovačić City Tambura Orchestra in Sisak, where he works as a leader and conductor.
In 2021, Franjo Pećarić made two significant contributions to the field of music. As a founder and member of the Zagreb Tambura Quartet, he enriched the Croatian music scene, and at the same time, he became a titular assistant at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, passing on his knowledge to future generations of musicians.
He also participates in the recording of two original sound carriers by Tomislav Uhlik and Tihomir Ranogajac.
From the academic year 2023/2024, he has enrolled in doctoral studies in chamber music at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
