
Zlata Životić, prof. advisor, graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Music in 2006 at the Department of Composition and Music Theory, and in 2007 harpsichord in the class of prof. Višnja Mažuran, with whom she also completed postgraduate studies - artistic training in 2009. She is employed at the Blagoje Bersa Music School in Zagreb, and has worked at the Albert Štriga Music School in Križevci and at the Academy of Arts in Osijek. Since 2024, she has been regularly improving her skills at professional seminars in the field of theoretical disciplines and interpretation of early music.
From the very beginning of her work, she has developed a high pedagogical level, her students have continued their education at music academies in the country and abroad (Austria, Spain, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina), she is a mentor to students who have won the highest awards at national and international competitions in three disciplines: solfeggio, chamber music and composition. She won the 'Oscar Znanja' award from the Agency for Education and Training (2013, 2023 and 2025) and the 'Professor Balthazar' award from the City of Zagreb in 2024. She is a lecturer at national and inter-county professional conferences in the field of Solfeggio and practical harmony, has held several seminars on the interpretation of Baroque music, and founded harpsichord department at the Albert Štriga Music School in Križevci. She presented at the Seventh International Symposium of Music Pedagogues (2021), at the International Conference Teaching music theory today 2022), is the author of two chapters in the book '75 years of the Albert Štriga Križevci Music School', a chapter in the Proceedings of the 7th International Symposium of Music Pedagogues, is the co-author of the Collection of Solfeggio published by Music association Opus (2021.) and Practice solfeggio discipline Tasks published by the Opus Music Association (2021) and the Collection of Tasks We Practice Solfeggio published by the Školska knjiga (2022), and is the author of the EBB project (European Baroque Bersa, since 2023).
She is a member of the Croatian Society of Music Artists, the Croatian Society of Music Theorists, and the Opus Music Association. She is a member of the jury for the solfeggio discipline discipline of the Sonus International Competition for Young Musicians and the Croatian Society of Music and Dance Pedagogues.
She is developing both a pedagogical and artistic career - as a musician she has held numerous concerts in Croatia (Varaždin Baroque Evenings, Darko Lukić Forum, Zagreb Music Biennale, Musical Evenings in St. Donat, Zadar, etc.) and abroad (Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Ireland).
